Hello Everyone,
    I'd like to announce that the new Guthrie Grove website is up. The design is an "off the shelf" design but the focus of the rebuild so far has been on the functions that the website provides. We have re-arranged the menus; hopefully things are easier to find. We now have a section for Bible Resources. Here we can posts tracks, links to websites, books, or articles on the guthriegrove.org website. The Sunday School section has been expanded and we now have space for each Sunday School teacher to put in information about their classes. We have designed this area to act like a guide or directory listing of our Sunday School classes and give us all more insight to the great classes that we already have. We also have an area for sermons that will serve up our podcast / netcast enabling us to expand the reach of our ministries. There is an area for each of our groups and space for the organizers of those groups to put in information and pictures. Lastly, the contact pages have been expanded to service more specific areas. Now here is where you come in, we need everyone to look at the new site; poke around and let us know what needs to be added. There are LOTS of blank pages that need text; we need Sunday School teachers to give us information about their classes; we need group leaders / organizers to give us information about their groups.     This website has been developed to operate as an extension of our church; to expand our church family into a church community. In order for that to happen, we need everyone to take ownership of it, make it better and turn it into a source of information and inspiration.
    Over the next week, I will be putting together instructions on how to update pages and post data on the website. This will give Sunday School teachers and group leaders the ability to keep their own pages up to date and allow for other members to post articles and devotions. I will, of course continue to post data for those who don't have access to the Internet of just had rather not do it themselves.
    There are really too many things that we are still working on to list them all but here are just a few off the top:
Events News Letter: This one is still in the design phase but it will be a newsletter with a listing of events that might concern Guthrie Grove members. It might me weekly, semi-weekly or bi-weekly but will allow for special newsletters like this one.
Podcast: This one was mention earlier in this page. It should be available in the next couple of weeks.
Prayer list: This is going to be an email mailing list that any of our members can contribute to. If you have of know of a need or praise then you will be able to send an email to the list and it will be redistributed to other subscribers to the list
   The website is not finished, it is designed to be ever changing and growing to meet our needs so if you have ideas, concerns or complaints send them to us as the contact page above or see me at church!
