Welcome/Concerns and Celebrations of the Congregation ~
Call to Worship ~
Hymn #38, Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee
Invocation ~
Receiving of Tithes and Offerings ~
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Cor. 9:7-8)
An Offering in Song ~
We Worship in Song ~
Hymn #194, Jesus Loves Me
I'd Rather Have Jesus
I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold; I'd rather be His than have riches untold;
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands. I'd rather be led by his nail-pierced hand
Chorus: than to be the king of a vast domain or be held in sin's dread sway;
I'd rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today.
He's fairer than lilies of rarest bloom; He's sweeter than honey from out of the comb;
He's all that my hungering spirit needs. I'd rather have Jesus and let Him lead.
Morning Message ~
Closing Song ~
Hymn #288, An Every Day Prayer
Benediction ~

We have received the following thank you card:
"Dear Guthrie Grove Church of God, Brothers Michael and Jim, Thank you for your prayers, positive thoughts, and the lovely red miniature rose basket of living flowers. David & Victoria are planting the red miniature roses in a flower bed in their yard as a long term token of your care, prayers, and visit. I shall never forget the kindness of your church members & support. Enclosed is $20 for the African Mission Trip. Love in Christ, Lournelle M Beecher."
Visitors who went to a heavy-duty grease factory were ushered into a large room. The tour host introduced them to the company's history & the number of employees at work producing the best machine lubricants in the world. They toured the noisy factory with its incredible activity: lots of wheels whirling & much mixing. As the tour ended, one of the visitors said, "I didn't see a shipping department." The guide responded, "Well, we don't have a shipping department because it takes all the grease we make to lubricate our equipment & keep the wheels turning."
(A reminder: The Church is the best lubricated grease factory in all of history. What's often missing is the shipping department. The Church doesn't exist for itself, it exists to bring others to a commitment to Jesus Christ)
