January 06, 2008
Welcome to Guthrie Grove on this first Sunday of the year 2008. We're glad that you are here this morning to worship our Heavenly Father, and His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus. By doing so you are obeying God's Word as well as being an encourager. "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Observing the Service of Communion ~
Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

For the Year Before Us
For the year before us, O, what rich supplies!
For the poor and needy living streams shall rise.
For the sad and sinful shall His grace abound;
For the faint and feeble perfect strength be found.
He will never fail us, He will not forsake;
His eternal covenant He will never break!
Resting on His promise, what have we to fear?
God is all-sufficient for the coming year.
