Call to Worship ~
Responsive Reading (Psalm 40:1-3, 5a)
(L) I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.
(C) He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
(L) He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
(C) He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
(L) Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
(C) Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done.
(L) The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.
Hymn #546, Count Your Blessings

A Little Humor...
My friend wanted a boat more than anything. His wife kept refusing but he bought one anyway. "I'll tell you what," he told her. "In the spirit of compromise, why don't you name the boat?" Being a good sport, she accepted. husband went to the dock for the maiden voyage, this is the name he saw printed on the side: "For Sale".
