SE Youth Camp begins today; an exciting week is planned for our 4th graders & up at Appalachian Campground (Blowing Rock, NC). Pray for this special week in the lives of our young people; if a need arises while our pastors are gone, contact an Elder.

Special thanks to all who helped out with Friday evening's Hemphill Concert. Thanks to Pastor Jim for inviting them to come, to Mary Ann Durham (And crew) for providing refreshments & to all who came and brought desserts to share. As well, thanks to the Media Ministry Committee (And Joe James) for advertising this event. Mostly, we thank God; to Him be the glory for all that He has done.

Kevin Farr will soon be leaving to serve the US Army with a year's deployment overseas. Please pray for Kevin (and family) during this special time of service. We appreciate all that Kevin does for our church, and are proud of his military accomplishments too. God bless you Kevin; our thoughts and prayers are w/you.

As mentioned last Sunday, Richard Alcumbrack (MI) was elected as 2011 Special Meeting Guest Speaker, with Jon Wincapaw (Louisiana) coming in 2nd.

Lisa Blackwood, Volunteer Services of Medi Home Hospice (Mauldin) wishes to announce that Medi Home needs volunteers to give a few hours each month to provide companionship and support to our terminally ill patients and their caregivers. (Church Van is a possibility) Spend the afternoon hiking (3.5 mile loop: Sulphur Springs Trail or 2.6 mile loop: Brissy Ridge Trail), fishing in 15-acre Lake Placid (SC license required), boating (Canoes, pedal boats, kayaks can be rented: subject to availability) or just relaxing in the shade. Faye Couch expresses her thanks to the church for the beautiful fern she received during her recent hospital stay. Continue to pray for Faye as she has further tests.

As we welcome our children from Junior Church this morning we are reminded that we must each have a child-like innocence, trust, and dependence upon our Heaven Father. Welcome Jr. Church and staff!
