Our sincerest sympathy to the Robert Hood family. Robert fell asleep in death last Sunday morning. Funeral services were held at Guthrie Grove this past Wednesday, with Pastor Mike and Elder Joe James officiating. We long for the return of Christ and the day when there is no more pain, sorrow, sickness or death. Special thanks to those who provided food for the Bereavement Meal.
Thanks to those who helped out with yesterday's "Helping Hands" project at Estleen Parsons' home in Greenville. We especially appreciate those who spearheaded this ministry opportunity (Bobby Partain, Bob Alcumbrack,Wayne Picklesimer, etc.)
The ABC Invitational will be held Mar 5-7 for those in grades 9 and up. This is a time for prospective students to view classes/instructors, and get an overall taste of the campus atmosphere. Speak to Rebecca for more information.

A Little Humor...
Roy went to a revival at a local church and listened intently to the preacher. After awhile, the preacher asked anyone with needs to be prayed over to come forward to the front of the altar. Roy got in line, and when it was his turn, the preacher asked, "What do you want me to pray about for you?" Roy replied, "Preacher, I need you to pray for my hearing." The preacher put one finger in Roy's ear and placed his other hand on top of Roy's hand, and prayed and prayed and prayed. After a few minutes he removed his hands, took a few steps backward and asked, "Roy, how's your hearing now?" Roy replied thoughtfully, "I don't know. It's not until next Wednesday."
