Welcome to Guthrie Grove Church of God. How blessed we are to gather freely to worship our Heavenly Father and His Son, our Lord & Savior Jesus. What a wonderful hope we have in God and in Jesus. The Apostle Paul says, "Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times."

As previously mentioned, we are entering "Camp Season". Guthrie Grove pays half of camp tuition for those youth who have been active throughout the year. As well, transportation costs are quite significant. If you wish to help with these expenses, make your checks payable to Guthrie Grove and earmark them "camp". Thank you for your special help at this time, and throughout the year.
YouthSoutheast Camp (Blowing Rock, NC) is just a little more than a month away. 4th graders and up are invited to spend a wonderful week in the mountains learning more about God and Jesus. The theme of this year's camp is "Branded"; see Camp Director Telva Elwell for more information.
Please be reminded of our Work Program, which could significantly reduce the cost of camp tuition. See Rebecca if interested.
Thanks for your help in the "Keep America Beautiful" Campaign, which runs throughout the month of May.
Parents and Youth: Vacation Bible School is just around the corner! (See the bulletin insert and/or contact Sherry Alcumbrack for more information)
Reminders:
If you haven't had an opportunity to purchase a copy of the newly reprinted Systematic Theology ($15), see Alva Huffer (And the table display in the foyer). Alva would be happy to personally autograph your copy.
"Graduate Sunday" is next week; we look forward to recognizing our recent grads (Rachel Franco, Marc Naumoff, Ian Walters, Justin Martin, Laura Metz and Victoria Holt). If there are others to be honored, please see Rebecca or Sherry ASAP.
Grads: don't forget to send Rebecca 4-5 photos to be used in a PowerPoint presentation. (220-1624 : rjdauksas [at] charter [dot] net)
Our Annual Business Mtg. will be held immediately following morning worship on Jun 6th. As mentioned previously, if you feel led to serve in a particular capacity, or have questions about positions to be filled, please speak to a member of the Nominating Committee (Eugene Grant, Chairman).
On Sun. morning Jun 6th there will also be a Baptismal Service. If you wish to learn more about putting on Christ in the waters of baptism, please let us know.
Sister's Act has re-scheduled their outing to Falls Park (Last month's meeting in downtown Greenville was changed due to inclement weather). Please bring your own picnic dinner; Subway and Jersey Mike's are both on Main Street.
ABC Booster Sunday will be observed Jun 13th. Atlanta Bible College exists to equip Christian men & women for full-time, part-time & lay ministry. You will be given a specific opportunity to give financially to the ABC Booster Campaign-to "Do together what we cannot do alone."
