Once again, please be aware that camp season is almost upon us, and that last year nearly $9,000 was spent (Not including the Charter Bus to FUEL), helping to send our kids to camp. If you wish to contribute towards this important and upcoming ministry, make your checks payable to Guthrie Grove Church, earmarked "Camp".
Vacation Bible School is just around the corner. "High Seas Expedition: Exploring the Mighty Love of God" will begin Sun. night, Jun 6 and run thru Thurs., Jun 10. We want "all hands on deck"; invite your friends and family. For more info call Sherry at 226-6345.
Youth:
Southeast Camp (Blowing Rock, NC) is now less than a month away. 4th graders and up are invited to spend a wonderful week in the mountains learning more about God and Jesus. (This year's theme is "Branded")
FUEL (N. Manchester, IN) will be held Jul 18-23. Applications are online (tpym.com). If interested in the Work Program (To reduce the cost of tuition for either camp), see Rebecca.
Our Annual Business Mtg. will be held immediately following morning worship on Jun 6th. As mentioned previously, if you feel led to serve in a particular capacity, or have questions about positions to be filled, please speak to a member of the Nominating Committee (Eugene Grant, Chairman).
As well, on Sun. morning Jun 6th there will also be a Baptismal Service. If you wish to learn more about putting on Christ in the waters of baptism, please let us know.
Sister's Act has re-scheduled their outing to Falls Park (Last month's meeting in downtown Greenville was changed due to inclement weather). Please bring your own picnic dinner; Subway and Jersey Mike's are both on Main Street.
ABC Booster Sunday will be observed Jun 13th. Atlanta Bible College exists to equip Christian men & women for full-time, part-time & lay ministry. You will be given a specific opportunity to give financially to the ABC Booster Campaign to "Do together what we cannot do alone."
Please plan to attend the Jun 18 (7 pm) Concert featuring Joel and LaBreeska Hemphill. Invite your friends. A refreshment time is planned; stay tuned as to how you can help w/desserts. If you can place an ad for this upcoming concert in a storefront, prominent location, etc., please take a flier off the entryway table.
Newly re-printed Systematic Theology Books are still available ($15 each).
When as a child, I laughed & wept, time crept; when as a youth, I dreamed & talked, time walked; When I became a full-grown man, time ran. "Make the most of every opportunity, redeeming the time."
