Don't forget this afternoon's Sunday School Picnic; come for a time of fun/food/ fellowship. Enter the home made pie & the home made ice cream contest. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served at 5:30. Please bring a dish or two to share.

This year's "See You at the Pole" observance is Wed., Sep 23. Go to your school's flagpole at 7 am & pray for your family, friends, school, community, & the world. This year's theme is from 2 Kings 22:13: "Engage: Go and pray."
Our youth will engage in a prayer circle on Wednesday evening at 7 pm.

Registration forms for the upcoming SE Fall Retreat (Blowing Rock, NC) are now due. Registration will begin at the campground at 7 pm on Friday, Oct 2. The retreat concludes after a noon lunch on Sunday, Oct 4. Tuition is $50. See Telva right away if you have not turned in your registration form.

Practice for our 2009 Christmas Cantata ("The Wonder of Christmas") has begun. Please start attending practices NOW if you plan to sing this year. We welcome you, and need your voices; no practice today, due to the picnic.

Please sign the Special Music Schedule in the entryway. God has gifted us all in various ways; share your musical talents to His glory.

Attention Sister's Act: Bring an apple dish of any kind to share at the Sep 22 Sister's Act Meeting at the church. All ladies are invited to attend.

It's Bethel's turn to provide transportation for next Saturday's Carolina Conference Board Meeting. If you plan to go, be at Bethel by 9 am.

Congregational Mtg. 09/27 (6 pm): The Church Board recommends that funds from the Building Fund be used to pay off (Cancel the debt to the Building Fund) the balance owed to the Building Fund on the purchase of the Milne property.

On Sep 29 the van will depart (9:30 am) for the Stepp Farm in Hendersonville. The owner (91 yr. old Son Stepp) is a life-time member of Anderson Chapel. Pick your own apples, or purchase from a wide variety of apples & apple gifts.

We will celebrate the ordinance of Communion on Sun. evening, Oct 4 (6 pm). Guthrie Grove practices open communion. If you are a baptized member of the Body of Christ, please feel free to participate in this Scriptural command.
