We have come into His house and gathered in His name to worship Him.
We have come into His house and gathered in His name to worship Him.
We have come into His house and gathered in His name to worship Christ the Lord.
Worship Him, Christ the Lord.
So forget about yourself and concentrate on Him and worship Him.
So forget about yourself and concentrate on Him and worship Him.
So forget about yourself and concentrate on Him and worship Christ the Lord.
Worship Him, Christ the Lord.

We Worship in Song ~
I'd Rather Have Jesus
I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold; I'd rather be His than have riches untold;
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands; I'd rather be led by His nail-pierced hand
Refrain: Than to be the king of a vast domain and be held in sin's dread sway;
I'd rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today.
I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause; I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause;
I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame; I'd rather be true to His holy name
(Refrain)
He's fairer than lilies of rarest bloom; He's sweeter than honey from out the comb;
He's all that my hungering spirit needs; I'd rather have Jesus and let Him lead
Jesus is the Joy of Living (Chorus only)
Jesus is the Joy of Living, He's the King of Life to me; unto Him my all I'm giving,His forevermore to be. I will do what He commands, me, anyway He leads I'll go.
Jesus is the Joy of Living, He's the dearest Friend I know.

Welcome to Guthrie Grove Church of God. It's cold outside this morning, but our hearts are warmed by the love of God and the love of His Son Jesus. Scripture says that God's love has been shed abroad in our hearts by means of the Spirit given us and that "we love Him because He first loved us." Thank you God for your amazing love!

Welcome to Guthrie Grove Church of God. Today is the 3rd Sunday of Advent; ‘Advent' (From the Latin ‘Adventus') means ‘coming' and we are reminded not only of Jesus' humble birth to Mary in Bethlehem-but also of His future 2nd Coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. How appropriate that we light the Candle of Joy on this morning that we enjoy the children's performance of Starry Night, Noisy Night.

Welcome to Guthrie Grove Church of God. Today marks the 2nd Sunday of Advent 2011. ‘Advent' (From the Latin ‘Adventus') means ‘coming' and we are reminded not only of Jesus' first coming: His humble birth to Mary in Bethlehem-but also of His future 2nd Coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The 4 purple candles on the wreath stand for hope, peace, joy and love and are visual reminders that light & life will ultimately triumph over despair & death. The white, Christ Candle will be lit on Christmas Day.
